The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies — humans with extraordinary abilities — who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone... except the villains they once overthrew.
Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice — and in Nova. But Nova's allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.
World:
The world is just amazing, we get superhero who control the city, after a terrible time period of Anarchy. Galton City seems really similar to our city’s, like it could be London, with only modern buildings and a higher criminal rate. Also at the beginning I was a little bit confused, what the Ace Anarchy looked like and we get almost o information about the rest of the world. But how she plays with good and evil is unbelievable.
Characters:
The characters are amazing we get our two lovely side main characters, but also a ton of side characters, who still have different background and history and even though you don’t get a lot information you can understand all their actions and decisions
Nova: She is an incredible strong main character, with amazing ability’s and pure feelings. I needed a little bit of time to understand her, but after that you can’t resist to love her.
Adrien: What a sweet love interest, I simply adore him. Always friendly, always caring, so smart and such deep feelings and convictions. Especially all the small things he did to make the people around him happy, are warming my heart.
Plot:
A lot is going on here, we have bombs and epic fights and also a lot of planing and secret plans nobody knows about, so all these characters, who never have the same goal all try to sabotage everything, which leads to great plot twist and surprises, while nobody really knows what’s going on.
Writing:
I love her writing style, it is so simple and easy, you can just read one page and you are already completely in again and can’t stop. Also there are a lot of quotes, that are just amazing.
Extra:
So i have never watched Miracoulus Ladybug, but from what I have heard, if you like one you will probably like the other one. It seems really similar, there are superheroes and nobody knows their identity. So maybe check it out.
